Hon'ble Shri Justice Ananda Prakash Sen was born on 20th September, 1923. He belonged to a family of lawyers. He was educated at Science College and Law College, Nagpur. He joined the Nagpur Bar in June 1945 and practiced in the District Court till November, 1947. His Lordship enrolled as an advocate of the Nagpur High Court in November, 1947. On creation of the High Court of Madhya Pradesh, he shifted to Jabalpur on 1st November, 1956. He practised exclusively in the High Court for 21 years mainly in constitutional, civil and taxation matters. He was asked by the Chief Justice to constitute the Madhya Pradesh Bar Council and held the first general elections. He served as Advocate General of Madhya Pradesh from June, 1966 till 6th November, 1967. His Lordship was appointed as Additional Judge of the High Court of Madhya Pradesh on 7th November, 1967 and as permanent Judge on 29th July, 1968. During the period of Emergency, His Lordship was transferred to the Rajasthan High Court on 29th June, 1976. His Lordship was appointed as Acting Chief Justice of Rajasthan High Court from 16th February, 1977 to 12th May, 1977 and again from 28th December, 1977 to 28th February, 1978.His Lordship was appointed as the Chief Justice of High Court of Madhya Pradesh on 28th February, 1978. His Lordship was appointed Judge of the Supreme Court of India on 17th July, 1978 and demitted the office on 20th September, 1988.

Hon'ble Shri Justice Goverdhan Lal Oza was born on 12th December, 1924 at Ujjain. His father Shri Jamnalal ji Oza has been a well-known social worker of Ujjain. He had his early education at Madhav College, Ujjain. In the student days he took active part in student politics and the freedom movement called 'Quit India' under the leadership of Mahatma Gandhi. As a student, he also led the agitation against the rulers of the Holkar State who wanted not to merge with the Indian Union and ultimately the ruler accepted the merger of the State in the Indian Union. In 1948, he joined the Bar at Indore. In the early days at the Bar he was actively associated with the politics in the country and attended the Asian Socialist Conference at Rangoon (Burma) in December, 1952 as a delegate from India. He has been a lawyer of outstanding merit. He has worked in Constitutional, Civil, Criminal, Labour and other cases. He has been associated with practically all the important and sensational cases at Indore for about a decade before elevation to the Bench. On 29th July, 1968, His Lordship was sworn in as Additional Judge of the High Court of Madhya Pradesh. Thereafter, he joined the Indore Bench of the High Court. Indore Bar welcomed the appointment of their colleagues with acclamation. As a Judge he was the pioneer in starting the work of legal aid and founded a voluntary legal aid and education society. It continued to function till the State Government took over the legal aid programme. On 3rd January, 1984 he took over as the Chief Justice of the State and was Acting Chief Justice till 1stDecember, 1984 when he was appointed as the permanent Chief Justice of the High Court of Madhya Pradesh. On 29th October, 1985, he took the oath of office as a Judge of the Supreme Court of India. His Lordship demitted the office of Judge, Supreme Court of India, on 11th December, 1989.

Hon'ble Shri Justice Narayan Dutta Ojha was born on 19thJanuary, 1926 in District Pratapgarh (U.P.). He passed High School Examination from Daraganj High School, Allahabad in 1939 and Intermediate Examination from the K.P. Intermediate College, Allahabad in 1941. He obtained B.A. degree in 1943 and LL.B. degree in 1945 from University of Allahabad. He was married to Smt. Savitri Devi on 15th June, 1948. He practised for few years as a Pleader in the District Court at Allahabad. He enrolled as an Advocate of the Allahabad High Court on 20th December, 1951. He was appointed as Additional Judge of the Allahabad High Court on 3rdSeptember,1971 and permanent Judge of that High Court on 12th December, 1972. He was Acting Chief Justice of the Allahabad High Court from 18th August, 1986 to 30th September, 1986. He was appointed Chief Justice of High Court of Madhya Pradesh on 8th January, 1987. He also functionedas Governor, Madhya Pradesh from 1st December, 1987 to 29thDecember, 1987 and thereafter continued as Chief Justice of Madhya Pradesh High Court. His Lordship was appointed Judge of the Supreme Court on 18th January, 1988. His Lordship demitted the office of Judge, Supreme Court of India on 18th January, 1991.

Hon'ble Shri Justice Faizanuddin was born on 5th February, 1932 in District Panna, Madhya Pradesh. He passed Matriculation Examination in 1948; Graduated in 1952 from Hamidia College, Bhopal and obtained the degree of Law in 1955 from the same College. He joined Bhopal Bar in 1955 itself as an Apprentice in Law and enrolled as a Pleader in Judicial Commissioner's Court, Bhopal in February, 1956. He enrolled as an Advocate of High Court of Madhya Pradesh on 3rdJanuary, 1961 and soon began to be reckoned with top lawyers of Bhopal Bar. He was unanimously elected as Secretary, Bar Association. He practised in Civil, Criminal and Revenue side (both original and appellate) as well as in constitutional matters. He was Standing Counsel for M.P. Wakf Board for about two decades. He also worked as Parttime lecturer in Law in Saifia Law College, Bhopal for six academic sessions. His Lordship was appointed as Additional Judge of the High Court of Madhya Pradesh on 27th November, 1978 and thereafter as permanent Judge on 27th May, 1982. He also worked as Acting Chief Justice of High Court of Madhya Pradesh. His Lordship was elevated as Judge of the Supreme Court of India on 14th December, 1993. His Lordship demitted the office of the Judge, Supreme Court of India, on 4th February, 1997.

Hon'ble Shri Justice Ashok Kumar Mathur was born on 7th August, 1943. He was enrolled as an Advocate of the Rajasthan High Court on 20th October, 1967. He was appointed as Assistant Government Advocate and Deputy Government Advocate on 2nd August, 1969 and Government Advocate of Jodhpur from 31st January, 1977 to 12th July, 1978. He was appointed as Additional Advocate General in 1981. His Lordship was appointed as Additional Judge of Rajasthan High Court on 13th July, 1985 and permanent Judge on 23rd July, 1986. He was transferred to High Court of Madhya Pradesh on 18th February, 1994. He was appointed as the Chief Justice of High Court of Madhya Pradesh on 3rd February, 1996. His Lordship was transferred to the Calcutta High Court on 22nd December, 1999. He was elevated as Judge, Supreme Court of India on 7th June, 2004. His Lordship demitted the office on 7th August, 2008.

Hon'ble Shri Justice D.M. Dharmadhikari was born on 14th August, 1940 at Nagpur and educated at Betul, Nagpur and Indore. He obtained M.A. (English) degree and graduated law in First Class. He started legal practice in 1966-67 with his father Advocate Shri M.T. Dharmadhikari at Betul. He shifted to Jabalpur in 1967-68 and started practice in High Court of Madhya Pradesh under the guidance of Senior Advocate and Advocate General Mr. Yaswant Dharmadhikari. He established his independent position as a leading lawyer. His Lordship was appointed as Additional Judge of the High Court of Madhya Pradesh on 24th March, 1989 and as Permanent Judge of on 27th July, 1990. He was appointed as Chief Justice of High Court of Gujarat on 25th January, 2000. His Lordship was appointed as Judge of Supreme Court of India on 5th March, 2002. His Lordship demitted the office of Judge, Supreme Court of India on 14th August, 2005.

Hon'ble Shri Justice Prakash Prabhakar Naolekar was born on 29th June, 1943 at Jabalpur. He passed B.Com. in the year 1963 and LL.B from Jabalpur University in the year 1965. He joined the Bar in December, 1965 in the Chamber of Hon'bleMr. Justice A.P. Sen and later Hon'ble Mr. Justice J.S. Verma, who later on, became the Judge/Chief Justice of Supreme Court of India. As an Advocate, he practiced in Civil, Criminal, Constitution, Company Labour & Service matters. He was appointed Standing Counsel for Raipur University in 1983 and Standing Counsel of High Court of Madhya Pradesh, Municipal Corporations and various Co-operative Societies in 1989. His father and grandfather were leading lawyers of the High Court of Madhya Pradesh. He belongs to third generation of Lawyers family. He functioned as Vice-President of Madhya Pradesh High Court Bar Association from 1983 to 1989 and was also associated with Social Organisations, viz. Lions International Club, SangeetSamaj, Educational Institutions. He was interested in Classical Music and Sports. His Lordship was elevated to Bench of Madhya Pradesh High Court as Permanent Judge on 15th June, 1992. He was transferred to Rajasthan High Court on 28th April, 1994. His Lordship was appointed as the Chief Justice of the Gauhati High Court on 10th June, 2002.On 28th July, 2004, His Lordship was elevated as Judge of the Supreme Court of India and demitted the office on 29th June, 2008.

Hon'ble Shri Justice Raju Varadarajulu Raveendran was born on 15th October, 1946. Hon'ble Shri Justice Deepak Verma was born on 28th August, 1947 at Jabalpur. He did schooling from Christ Church, Mahakaushal High School, Model High School and finally matriculation from Naveen VidyaBhawan, Jabalpur. After matriculation, he had taken admission in B.Sc. in Government Science College, Jabalpur, but later on changed from Science to Arts and did B.A. from St. Aloysius College, Jabalpur. He completed LL.B. from Jabalpur University. He was enrolled as an Advocate in the year 1972. He practiced as such mainly on civil side till elevation in the year 1994 under his father late Shri R.P. Verma, who was a great civil lawyer of his time. His Lordship was appointed as Judge of the High Court of Madhya Pradesh on 15th December, 1994. He was Administrative Judge of Indore Bench till August, 2005. Thereafter, continued as Administrative Judge, High Court of Madhya Pradesh at Jabalpur. He was additionally appointed as Welfare Commissioner, Bhopal Gas Victims to disburse the amount of compensation to the Gas Victims of Bhopal. Almost all the victims have been awarded compensation during his tenure except for those who are not traceable despite notices. He was transferred as Judge of the Karnataka High Court, Bangalore on 02.01.2008. He was senior most Judge there. His Lordship was elevated as Chief Justice of Rajasthan High Court on 04.03.2009 and took oath as the Chief Justice of Rajasthan High Court on 06.03.2009. He was elevated as Judge, Supreme Court of India on 11.05.2009. His Lordship demitted the office of Judge, Supreme Court of India, on 28th August, 2012.

Hon'ble Shri Justice Ananga Kumar Patnaik was born on 03.06.1949. He is son of late ShriGopal Chandra Patnaik, a leading businessman with great repute in Orissa. He had his schooling at Rajkumar College, Raipur. He was awarded prize for the "Best All Round Conduct and Leadership" in School. He had higher education from Delhi University with Honours in Political Science and obtained Law Degree from Madhusudan Law College, Cuttack. He was selected by the Rotary Foundation in Group Study Exchange Programme in 1976 and went to New Jersey, U.S.A. for study of institutions of America and its people. He was enrolled with the State Bar Council of Orissa on 28.03.1974. He practiced in the High Court, Subordinate Courts and Tribunals in Orissa and also appeared many a times before the Supreme Court of India. He practiced in different branches of law with specialization in Commercial Law and Constitutional Law. He was Standing Counsel for the Orissa State Road Transport Corporation from 02.05.1989 to 01.09.1990 and has been the Senior Standing Counsel for the Commercial Taxes Organization, Government of Orissa from 22.09.1990 to 12.01.1994. He was elevated as an Additional Judge of the High Court of Orissa on 13.01.1994 and on transfer assumed charge as Additional Judge of the Gauhati High Court on 07.02.1994. He became a permanent Judge of the Gauhati High Court in 1995. After rendering valuable services for eight years as a Judge in the Gauhati High Court, he again assumed charge as a Judge of Orissa High Court on 15.04.2002. He was the senior most Puisne Judge of the Orissa High Court and was the Executive Chairman of the Orissa State Legal Services Authority. He was also the Chairman of Orissa Judicial Academy. He was appointed as Chief Justice of the High Court of Chhattisgarh on 14.03.2005. On transfer, His Lordship assumed charge as Chief Justice of the High Court of Madhya Pradesh on 02.10.2005. His Lordship was appointed as Judge, Supreme Court of India, on 17.11.2009. His Lordship was nominated by the Chief Justice of India as the Visitor of the National Law University, Orissa, and as the Visitor of the National Law Institute University, Bhopal. He was conferred with the degree of Doctor of Law (HonorisCausa) by the Utkal University on 02.03.2012. He was also nominated by the Chief Justice of India as the Chairman of the Supreme Court Legal Services Committee and as the Chairman of the Committee on Constitutional Law and Allied Subjects for the project of the Indian Law Institute on Restatement of Indian Law. His Lordship demitted the office of Judge, Supreme Court of India on 02.06.2014.

He was appointed as the Additional Advocate General of the State Bihar on 14.12.1993, which office he held till his elevation. He held various offices including the office of the Vice-President of the English Speaking Union of Commonwealth and President of the Patna Golf Club. He was elevated as permanent Judge of the Patna High Court on 8th November, 1994 and was transferred to High Court of Madhya Pradesh on 21st November, 1994. His Lordship was transferred back to Patna High Court on 10th September, 2001. He was appointed as Acting Chief Justice of Patna High Court from 3rd March, 2008 to 12th May, 2008 and from 17th December, 2008 to 15th March, 2009. His Lordship took oath as the Chief Justice of Allahabad High Court on 20th March,2009. His Lordship was elevated as Judge, Supreme Court of India on 8thFebruary, 2010. Hon'ble Shri Justice C.K. Prasad demitted the office of Judge, Supreme Court of India, on 14th July, 2014.

Hon'ble Shri Justice Arun Mishra was born on 3rdSeptember, 1955. After obtaining degree in Law, he was enrolled as an Advocate on 26th January, 1978 and practiced in the High Court of Madhya Pradesh, Central and State Administrative Tribunals in Constitutional, Civil, Criminal, Tax, Industrial and Service matters. He functioned as Standing Counsel of various undertakings. He was elected as youngest Chairman of Bar Council of India in 1998-99. He was also Vice-Chairman of Bar Council of India and M.P. State Bar Council. \r\nHe was elected to Bar Council of Madhya Pradesh with record votes in 1989 and 1995.\r\nIn the Bar Council, he worked for improvement of legal education.\r\nHe co-chaired All India Meet of Development of Law curriculum which introduced 3 and 5 year courses of LL.B. in the year 1998-1999 in order to improve the quality of legal education. During his Chairmanship, Bar Council of India decided to close the evening Law Colleges and also decided that 5 year Law Course should be started instead of 3 years Course in all the colleges. More than two hundred sub-standard law colleges were closed by the Bar Council of India and to maintain dignity of profession, a large number of disciplinary cases were decided and amount of medical aid to lawyers was also enhanced. He drafted and implemented Foreign Law Degree Recognition Rules of 1997 under Advocates' Act, 1961; Bar Council of India Employees' Service Rules,1996 and Rules pertaining to Foreign Lawyers Conditions of Practice in India. He remained Chairman of General Council of National Law School of India University, Bangalore, from 15.5.1998 to 24.10.1999 and continues to be a Member. He led Indian Bar delegation to the Common Wealth Law Conference of "Common Wealth Countries" held at 'Malaysia' in September, 1999 and chaired one Session there.He was appointed Judge of the High Court of Madhya Pradesh on 25th October, 1999.His Lordship was Administrative judge of High Court of Madhya Pradesh and Chairman, State Legal Services Authority of Madhya Pradesh. His Lordship was appointed as the Chief Justice of Rajasthan High Court on 26.11.2010 and thereafter appointed as the Chief Justice of the High Court at Calcutta on 14.12.2012. He has decided approx. 97000 cases as Judge of High Courts of M.P./Rajasthan/Calcutta. His Lordship was elevated as Judge, Supreme Court of India on 07.07.2014. Hon'ble Shri Justice Arun Mishra demitted the office of Judge, Supreme Court of India on 2nd September, 2020.

Hon'ble Shri Justice A.M. Sapre was born on 28th August, 1954. His Lordship was elevated as Judge of the Supreme Court of India and assumed charge on 13th May, 2016. Hon'bleShri Justice A.M. Khanwilkar demitted the office of Judge, Supreme Court of India, on 29th July, 2022.

Hon'ble Shri Justice Hemant Gupta was born on 17th October, 1957. He belongs to a family of professionals in law. His grandfather was a prominent civil lawyer who voluntarily left practice at the prime of his professional career at the age of 65. His father retired as Chief Justice of Punjab and Haryana High Court in the year 1991. He enrolled as an Advocate in July, 1980 and practiced at the High Court after spending initial few years in the District Court. He mainly dealt with the civil cases. He also worked as Additional Advocate General, Punjab from 1997 to 1999. His Lordship was appointed as Judge of Punjab and Haryana High Court on 2nd July, 2002. He was member of the Computer Committee, Punjab and Haryana High Court, for more than 10 years. This period saw a complete computerization of the High Court including digitization of the entire records of judicial files and developing a mechanism to scan the freshly filed case, introduction of the Case Management System, launching of E-diary, E-filing of the cases, access to paper book module, on-line availability of the judgments and the daily/interim orders, extensive usage of the SMS, dispensing with the manual peshi registers, e-inspection, e-copy of the judgment(s)/order(s) by creating automated centralized copy agency. He also remained as Executive Chairman of the State Legal Services Authority, U.T. Chandigarh from July, 2012 till January, 2016. He was transferred to Patna High Court on 8th February, 2016 and was appointed as Acting Chief Justice of that High Court on 29th October, 2016. He was appointed as Chief Justice of High Court of Madhya Pradesh on 18th March, 2017. His Lordship was elevated as Judge, Supreme Court of India on 2nd November, 2018.Hon'ble Shri Justice Hemant Gupta demitted the office of Judge, Supreme Court of India on 16th October, 2022.

His Lordship was enrolled as an Advocate with the State Bar Council of Madhya Pradesh on 22nd November, 1985 and practiced in Civil, Criminal, Constitutional, Service and Tax matters. His Lordship was the elected member of the M.P. State Bar Council.His Lordship was appointed as Additional Judge of the High Court of Madhya Pradesh on 25th November, 2005 and on 25th November, 2008, appointed as permanent Judge of the High Court of Madhya Pradesh. His Lordship was a part of various committees, pertaining to betterment of administration of High court of Madhya Pradesh and continued his good offices till 6th October, 2019.His Lordship was transferred as Chief Justice of Andhra Pradesh High Court and assumed office on 7th October, 2019. His Lordship was the first Chief Justice of the newly established Andhra Pradesh High Court.His Lordship was transferred as the Chief Justice of the High Court of Sikkim on 6th January, 2021.Hon'bleShri Justice J.K. Maheshwari was elevated as a Judge of the Supreme Court of India on 31st August, 2021.

Hon'ble Shri Justice Satish Chandra Sharma Born on 30th November, 1961 at Bhopal, Madhya Pradesh. Father, Dr. B. N. Sharma, apart from being known as a well established agriculturalist, was also a renowned professor of Jabalpur University and subsequently the Vice Chancellor of Barkatullah University, Bhopal. Mother Smt. Shanti Sharma was a Principal and also worked as District Education Officer at Jabalpur before retirement. Started schooling from Christ Church Boys Higher Secondary School and passed 10th standard and 12th standard from Central School, Jabalpur. Enrolled as a student of Bachelor of Science in 1979 at Dr. Hari Singh Gour University, Sagar. Secured degree of Bachelor of Science in the year 1981 with distinction in three subjects.\r\n
\r\nAwarded National Merit Scholarship for Post Graduate Studies. Enrolled as a student of law in Dr. Hari Singh Gour University, Sagar in 1981. Graduated on top of the class and obtained LL.B. degree in 1984 with three university Gold Medals. Enrolled as an advocate on 1st September, 1984. Practiced in Constitutional, Service, Civil and Criminal matters before the High Court of Madhya Pradesh at Jabalpur. Was appointed Additional Central Government Counsel on 28th May, 1993 and was appointed senior panel counsel by Government of India on 28the June, 2004. In 2003, he was designated as a Senior Advocate by the High Court of Madhya Pradesh at the young age of 42, being one of the youngest senior advocates of Madhya Pradesh High Court.\r\n
\r\nElevated as an Additional Judge of Madhya Pradesh High Court on 18 January 2008. Appointed as a Permanent Judge on 15 January 2010. Justice S.C. Sharma is an avid reader and is also known for his contributions to various Universities. He is associated with National Law universities. He is also on the Advisory Board of National Law Institute University, Bhopal and India International University of Legal Education and Research, Goa and has published numerous research articles and papers.\r\n
\r\nTransferred to Karnataka High Court as Judge on 31st December, 2020 and took oath on 4th January, 2021. He was later appointed as Acting Chief Justice of Karnataka High Court on 31st August, 2021. He was elevated as Chief Justice of Telangana High Court on 11th October, 2021 and transferred to Delhi High Court as Chief Justice and took oath of office on 28th June, 2022.\r\n
